Our Spanish Language School in Querétaro was proudly founded in 1996. Since then it has been a school dedicated to teach Spanish and Mexican culture to foreigners from all over the world.

Our school location is really comfortable for our students because it is located only four blocks away from downtown so it is easy to get to know the city; its cultural and ancient buildings, and churches, the nice and ancient streets and plazas.

Our Spanish program is fully registered, accredited and approved by the Educational Bureau. We count with a Spanish for foreigners special designed methodology in 5 different levels.

Our Spanish courses are backed up with a special designed Spanish teaching methods. In order to meet students special needs, we have designed various practical and dynamic programs to learn Spanish which are open to students of all levels and ages. We offer flexible group programs and/or tutorial classes.

Our classes start every Monday which allows students to study for as little as one week at a time or to continue with classes over a period of months.

All activities are in Spanish; so you are able to improve speaking, reading, listening and writing Spanish language skills. We offer a wide variety of cultural and extracurricular activities in order to facilitate the immersion with the Spanish language, the Mexican culture and customs.

Querétaro & Freetime activities

Querétaro is located 200 kms. North of México city; one of the safest and cleanest cities in the country, Querétaro lies an hour's distance from other colonial cities. It was named Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO.

Querétaro has approximately 680,000 inhabitants (out of a total of 1,250,876). Three quarters of this population are between 16 and 50 years of age and over half of this amount is economically active.

The city is rich in history and colonial architecture, besides being one of the largest industrial and business centers of modern México.

The historical downtown of the capital of Querétaro has been declared "Cultural Heritage of Mankind" by UNESCO and it offers to its visitors the tradition of 470 years of history printed on its aqueduct, temples and big ancient colonial houses that make of this city one of the most beautiful colonial places in Mèxico.

It is also one of the safest and cleanest cities in the country and only a few hours away from other colonial cities such as Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, a major center for Mexican and international art.

Querétaro offers art and all kinds of cultural events, as well as a variety of recreational activities such as football, golf, bullfights, horseback riding, charreadas , camping and swimming as well as getting a great sun tan. It has Spring-like weather the entire year, a big attraction for nature lovers.

The Spanish language school in Querétaro will help students take advantage of their stay by arranging cultural, recreational and sports activities.

Apart from our cultural program, we organizes other activities and helps students find special courses, sports facilities, advisement on trips, etc. Some of the activities, workshops and trips are organized by school and others are given in specialized Institutions, Sports Clubs and Travel Agencies with which the school works with.

Every Thursday there is an activity for the students from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This activity is free for everybody. The activity can be one of our different workshops, games, movies, city tours, history classes, grammar workshops or audio activities, among others (day and hour may change).

Sports:

There are in the city several gymnasiums, golf courses, tennis and basketball courts, swimming pools, and bowling available to students at additional cost.

Weekend and Field Trips
There is one day field-trip to a nearby point of interest, historical site or nearby city; twice a month (cost depends on trip), minimum 4 students.

The following weekend and field-trips can be organized:

Weekend Trips: Sierra Gorda Queretana, Michoacán, Teotihuacán, México City and Acapulco.
Fields Trip: Guanajuato, Tequisquiapan, Bernal, San Miguel de Allende and San Joaquín.

Cultural Workshops
Are also available for students to choose from additional cost depending on workshop may range between $ 5.00 to $20.00 US.

Round table discussions, Story Telling, Mexican Traditions, History of México & Anthropology, Mexican Literature, Mexican Cuisine, Mexican Crafts, Folk-dance, Stainglass

Recreational & Community Activities
There is a social evening opened to all students and staff who wish to attend. Sometimes it is held in the school but normally it is held in a fashion cafe, restaurant , bar or disco club. (Costs and expenses are NOT included)

There are announcements in the school of activities that are taking place throughout the city such as: theater, fairs, expositions, etc. The school sometimes organizes for the staff and students interested to attend together. (Costs and expenses are NOT included)

Every Saturday there is a Mexican night in a nearby hotel which includes:
  - Mexican buffet.
  - Mexican music.
  - Folk-dance.
  - Cock fights
  - Bingo and bets.
($25.00 USD per person. Drinks and personal expenses are not included)

Mexican Homestay

One of the best ways to learn Spanish is to combine formal studies and living with a Mexican family. This provides multiple opportunities to learn new words and expressions, and it gives insight into daily life in México. It is an enriching cultural experience that opens many doors and it is long remembered.

A number of families have been carefully selected to provide security and a comfortable atmosphere for all students of the Spanish language school in Querétano..

All homes are no more than 15min. from the school by car.

Homestay is booked from the Sunday night before the course begins to the Sunday morning after the course finishes. If arriving before additional nights will be charged.

The Spanish language school in México helds responsible for your stay with our homestay families, if you don´t like it, or don´t feel comfortable at your home, we will move you within 72 hrs.

Hotels, Cabins, & Furnished Apartments

If a student does not wish to stay with a family, there is a great variety of hotels and inns in the City also some cabins.

We will provide information and help the students find the one most appropriate for his/her needs.

There are also several furnished apartments for rent (from a flat to a several bedroom apartment). We recommend to advise us well in advance as this are subject to availability and length period of time you wish to stay.
